Black hat iGaming SEO is any tactic that tries to rank a casino or betting site by breaking Google's spam policies: bought link networks, casino pages hidden on other people's websites, and reused expired domains. In Malaysia these offers are common and openly sold. This page shows what they look like, what Google says about each, and what to check before you hire an agency.
Three reasons meet in Malaysia. Online gambling cannot be advertised on Google here, so organic search is the main search channel. Most real publishers refuse gambling links. And rankings for game-brand keywords are worth a lot, so buyers ask for speed. A forum request we read in October 2026 asked for a Malaysian specialist to rank a single game-brand keyword on 50/50 payment terms, using guest posts and edits to existing pages. That is the demand black hat sellers serve.
| Tactic | What it is | Google's position |
|---|---|---|
| Private blog network (PBN) | Sites built or bought only to link to your site | Link spam: links made "primarily for the purpose of manipulating search rankings" |
| Parasite pages | Casino pages placed on a trusted site (a university, a wiki, a news section) to borrow its rankings | Site reputation abuse; Google's own example is a "best casinos" page on a medical site |
| Expired domains | A dropped domain with old links, refilled with casino content | Expired domain abuse; Google's example is casino content on a former school site |
| Hacked sites | Pages or links injected into sites without the owner knowing | Hacked content; removed when found, and illegal in most places |
| Bulk "niche edits" and guest posts | Paid links inserted into existing articles on unrelated sites | Link spam when paid and not marked sponsored |
When we checked the search results for iGaming SEO queries on 20 October 2026, several results were casino pages placed on university, wiki and code-hosting sites. Those pages rank until they are found; then the host deletes them or Google drops them, and the links they passed disappear with them.
For a while, sometimes. It fails in three ways:
The cost of recovery (disavowing links, rebuilding content, sometimes a new domain) is usually more than the campaign cost.
Ask these, and walk away if the answers are vague:
A site that search engines can crawl and index cleanly; one page per search intent, in each language you target; opening sentences that answer the search; content with dated, sourced numbers; internal links between related pages; and a small number of links from real gaming and industry sites. It is slower in the first months and keeps its value after them. The basics are in SEO and iGaming fundamentals in Malaysia; the service is KingSeo.
Ranking a gambling site by breaking Google's spam policies: link networks, casino pages on unrelated or hacked sites, and reused expired domains.
A private blog network: a group of sites that exist only to link to the sites their owner wants to rank. Google treats those links as link spam.
Placing your pages on someone else's trusted site to borrow its rankings. Google calls it site reputation abuse and uses a "best casinos" page as its example.
Often, by removing or disavowing the bad links and fixing the content, then asking for a review if there was a manual action. It takes months.
Ask for examples, open them, and check that each linking page is on a real site about a related subject, with its own visitors.
